BIBLES AND SCOUT SUNDAY PATCHES:

As usual Bibles were sent to Philmont, Sea Base and Northern Tier.

All Scout Sunday patches were sold out this year.  Next year’s patch is in design.

PRAY REPORT

God and Country Awards up 3.5%, but still low.  Peter Johnson noted that since the two big BSA Councils in Minnesota merged, Awards have dropped in half.  Members noted that some Catholic churches work hand in hand with Protestant leaders while others don’t and we need to follow up on those who aren’t.  Mark Hazelwood is retiring from PRAY.

Still need to promote Religious Emblem Coordinator positions nationally and locally.

Those recognized for PRAY program excellence were:

Teresa Rector – Arlington UMC

Amber de Mattos – Slidell, LA

Lillian Watson and Chrisie Moore – St. Bethlehem UMC

MEMBERSHIP AND DATABASE

We found out our membership Director, Don Shelmire, had died twice on the table in the past two years and is recovering.  Please add to prayer list.  We received the membership card program two weeks ago and are processing cards and mailing them.  Members have not been updating changes to their addresses but Barbara is working hard to find them.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Facebook usage is up 10%.  As of Report time 56 people were viewing Annual Meeting on Facebook.  Web page views have doubled.  David Craig was thanked for making it easier to pay online.  As soon as the Scout Sunday patch is available it will be put on our
Facebook and Web pages with links for ordering.

TRAINING

Most Board members are trained.  NAUMS is a member of the Nashville Center for Non-Profit Management group which specializes in training nonprofits on Tennessee laws.

Training for new Board members on Tennessee nonprofits laws will be scheduled.

The Annual Meeting was adjourned after prayer by Hank Voegtle.
